What makes the Bosnian Arabian horse speciall

The Bosnian Arabian horse is the result of more than 130 years of careful selection. Although it descends from the original desert Arabian horses, it was shaped in an entirely different environment — in the mountains and forests of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Appearance and character

It is distinguished by a harmonious appearance, elegance and a high percentage of blood from original Arabian horses. Its conformation has changed very little since the Second World War — smaller and more elegant, with a steel constitution adapted to a harsh climate.

What makes it exceptional is not only its appearance, but its temperament: endurance, calm and a noble character that make it equally dependable in sport and in everyday work.

A living heritage

Every horse at the stud carries genetics reaching back generations — to the old stallion lines and mare families recorded in studbooks kept since 1895. To preserve this breed is to preserve a piece of the living history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
